Ok- thank you. I think I will book the grand court.
I will be in Israel for a little over a week. I am nervous to rent an apartment I do not see firsthand.
Do you have one that you know people that stayed in?

I don't know how much the GC costs when booking online. A guy went to the hotel at 12 am and asked for a price. There are 2 more next door, Olive Tree and Leonardo. For apartments, you can look for someone who wants to trade apts, like if you are from KGH, maybe someone from Yerushalayim wants to stay there for a week and you stay in his apt in Minchas Yitzchak. You can ask someone to put up a sign in the Mir and look at the signs there, or check janglo.net for less Yeshivish locales.

Any other ideas besides the regular hoffman tours and the tunnel tour? I will book both of those.

Make sure to check out the Mir  8)

The rampart walk is very interesting, and you see a lot of things you wouldn't normally see. Just bring water if its the heat of the day.
is that done on your own, or with a tour?

On your own.
But you pay for an audio thingy to listen to as you go on. And do the northern route, there's a lot more to see.

Are there any hotels in Jerusalem that it pays to use points for(as oppose to selling the points and paying for the hotel)
Starwoord, American Express, THank you etc...

Seems like most decent hotels are around $250 a night.

Any advice on discounts on any hotels in Jerusalem?

Herodium -הרודיון is a historical masterpiece (Masada is the baby Herodium, and its whole fame is just because its a site where the original Sikrikim -who were so extreme and murderous in their point of view that they make contemporary "sikrikim" look like Tzadikim,  fought the Romans to the very end and committed mass suicide, an unfortunate episode), and IMHO is one of the best kept secrets.

I've got lots more, but iy"h some other time..

I heard it's great, but still haven't been there.
If you're driving down to the Dead Sea, there's a nice national park on the way, soon after the Qumran caves, that has springs and pools created out of them. They eventually drain into the dead sea.

And they have a coupon today for a hot-air balloon trip for half off, good till the end of the year.

Do the palmach museum in tel Aviv.

The time elevator in yerushalayim is awful. I wouldn't go again if they paid me.
