Dairy - Wafflebar on Paran. Hashgocha is Rav Rubin. It's part of a very popular chain, but the only one with a 'chareidi' hashgocha (for lack of a better description). The food has been pretty consistently good the few times I've been there (except the baked potato) although the menu is not that extensive.

Another place that seems to be unknown outside rechavia is a cafe on keren kayemet called ShushCafe, with a Chug Chasam Sofer PT teudah, and I know the Rabbi on top of the hashgocha in this specific place whose standards are quite reliable. My wife and I really have liked almost everything we've had there. Its a very European/Tel Avivian style cafe.

Both places have always been pretty busy, with a varied clientele of all stripes - 2 signs a place is good, especially here in our polarized society.
As always, double-check the hechsher anywhere you go here that it's an original with name address and date all correct.

lol, reminds me of the woody allen joke

There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions."

Great place. Best Israeli breakfast I've had in Israel, and really good deserts to boot.
I keep on waiting for coupons, but haven't had luck in half a year now.

good food, and consistent.    good service as well, except for early morning before the owner gets in.

in general though, it all depends on ure standards.  if you only eat the high level mehadrin hecsherim your choices are very limited.  if you'll eat rabanut mehadrin and ou that opens up a lot of options.   if you eat rabanut/bait yosef the choices are unlimited, i'm sure there all kinds of amazing places out there.  israel is known to have excellent middle eastern cuisine.

Israel is known to have excellent middle eastern cuisine.

Might have something to do with the fact that it is conveniently located in the Middle East. ;)

And that neighborhood is not particularly conducive to good eating establishments.

sushiya actually had really good sushi, with their clientele though it was only a matter of time until they dropped the hashgacha
