Thanks. Went there, te sandwich was good, but very cheap on them meat. For 74 shekel on a sandwich it should be overstuffed. We had 2 in our party that ordered it, sent back a half that literately had 2 thin slices of meat on it, and they out a new full sandwich ( also very skimpy on the meat).
Sad.  It did not used to be ('07-'09) skimpy on the meat.
Maybe ask how much they would charge for double meat a la Subway :D

If you do, make sure you find a server whose brain is capable of handling that concept, or her head will implode.

I too had the sandwich a bunch of times over the years. It seems to me that ever since they rebranded themselves Rimon Bistro many thing have changed, including the Philly Sandwich. They now serve a few really thin slices of Entrocote  on a small bun. It used to be this Goliath of a sandwich stuffed with thick pieces of steak smothered in BBQ sauce. Now the steak is seared and served sans sauce. It is served closed, on a plate exactly the size of the sandwich (read puny).

Lemme translate that for you: Rabbanut Mehadrin Tel Aviv + Chug Chasam Sofer Petach Tikva (Mehadrin).

BTW call to see when they have specials, IIRC there are certain times when you can get a great deal.
For me getting a chunky monkey milkshake was a big treat, but for non-CY folk I'm sure that's run-of-the-mill.

The creme brulee though should be very good as are some of the pasta dishes.

Actually I've heard to the contrary.  I've always heard the chug chatam sofer petach tikva as being possibly 'problematic'.

Tel Aviv on the other hand, certifies very few Mehdrin restaurants.  FWIU/H, the few that they do have are good.  FYI, FWIW at 'Alternative' specifically, the mashgiach is a Chabadnik.

Okay, I finally finished my epic post about the Avis-Lufthansa deal. But I'm afraid I'll kill the restaurant discussion... Should I go for it anyway? :P
restaurant discussion is officially dead.   let's have it...
