I may be the only one to say this, but I don't understand how anyone patronizes sheyan and keyara.

Keyara, I went with my parents a few years ago- we ordered 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes for just us 3 and came out HUNGRY (and FTR I'm skinny). Not to mention, they charged us an arm and leg for it. The food was good though, but by far not worth it. Never went back there again.

Sheyan, while being slightly less expensive IIRC, just doesn't have good food. While they have some good things on the menu, most of the food IME just doesn't taste good. I was there a bunch of times, the last being a couple years ago, so it may have changed since then, though I highly doubt it.

Just my 2 cents.

Thats two descriptions of the same problem.

The answer is that there is nothing as nice/nicer in Jerusalem.

One restaurant has an an issue of price and quantity, one of price and taste. Since its the same owner, I'm not surprised about the common denominator.

lol go to some of teh nice restaurants in the city, and you'll see what it means to pay for your food.   keyara and sheyan are both priced on the low side for "upscale" dining

Considering both are constantly full they are obviously not overpriced.

So... the general consensus is that there are no decent meat places in the Tel Aviv area that are Mehadrin, besides for El Gaucho?

There are plenty, if you eat either Machpoud or BBY.
