from online research it seems to be meh especially compared to acatenango

I did Acatenango (it was QUITE difficult, especially the camping overnight). Looking to possibly go back and do something much easier

so ive read in your trip report and others. but at least the end result is worth it. id like to do something not as challenging yet still rewarding relative to the effort

regarding lake atitlan is there any difference between all these little towns if all i wanna do is relax? maybe tour a little?

not really. I found them to be almost the same. Some are more party spots than others, and if you want Kosher food you need San Pedro.
