Just got two new iPhones this week as upgrades for two of my lines that were due and my bill didn't close yet.
When/if it closes without a discount would I be able to walk out of Sprint with the brand new iPhones and no fees because they breached my contract by taking away the discount?

If it works, my plan would be to port out all my 4 lines and return to Sprint after a month or two and get new equipment for all 4 lines again...

YMMV but you could pull it off. Technically they didn't change anything on their part. But you might be able to get away with it.

I received the message in August. I had a Citi discount of 27% up until this month. New bill shows a new 5% Credit and a Sprint Employee Discount 26%. Which adds up to more than my original 27%. No clue as to what is going on, but fear that I might lose my discounts soon. Looking into switching to Tmobile.

Today I got a call from Sprint (888-211-4727) with a recording telling me to press 1 to hear more about my eligibility for the discount, I just hung up.

That's how it all started for me, then I got a v/m that unless a provide a ups email address I will loose the discount. I think it lasted 2 more months from the first call.

I got a text a few days ago, never opened it.
I once heard that they're able to tell if someone opens a text or not.. True or false?

False, at best they might be able to confirm if it was delivered to the device, and even that is a longshot.

Update:
So my bill generated and instead of having a 27% discount, I now have a 26%, that's probably a breach of contract ain't it?

Also the bill promptly displays two charges of $36 for "Device Upgrade Activation Fee". Is that Sprint's way of saying that the phones are mine to keep no matter what happens next?

I really don't think its a breach of contract because the discount isn't in the contract but I do think if you complained about it you could get out of your contract. I mean we're talking about Sprint here!

And as for the device upgrade fee. Everyone has that when they upgrade. (Though one phone will have it removed IME)
