Just walked into a Sprint store and the manager tells me that he can no longer renew my contract with my Sero premium plan as it doesn't exist in his system. The other rep first tells me that you can still do it over the phone or you can change you plan in the store, renew your contract  and change it back to the Sero premium afterwards on the phone. I am a little bit wary about trying his second method. Anybody recently renewed their contract with the Sero premium plan?
Yes, I did. Just order the new phone online.

It's giving me this message: "You'll need to change your plan after you get your device."

You currently pay $40 or $50?
I was on Sprint premium for $40 and I got a SG4. I'm pretty sure it said a similar message since I needed to add on data $10 fee.
I called the Sero CS line and they activated it with no prob.

I was originally on the $30 Sero plan then I upgraded to the S2 2 years ago so they put me on the Sero premium for $40 plus $10 premium data fee.

I just finally lost mine too. I was able to get 10% + $20 off added. But it took quite a bit of phone calls.

Sprint just sent me a notification to verify that I qualify for the employee discount. I'm not good at fighting for these things, can anyone give me tips on what to say to get them to give me something? (For the record, I had no idea when I signed up that the rate was so good because the store gave me an "employee discount". They just said "this  is the plan for this amount of money.) It's not a very honest thing to do...)

I told them I wasn't aware. And that they should let my contract end or change price so I can afford to pay what I can afford.  IME Their offer wasn't good enough until I filed a complaint with the BBB and a nice Sprint lady contacted me and took care of the matter.

My contract is ending, I just requested an upgrade (having no idea about this employee discount previously) and then I got the request to verify. What kind of complaint did you put in BBB? The complaint isn't really against them for wanting to verify that people getting the discount actually work for these places, it's against the first Sprint store that hooked me into this....

Was it a real corporate store or a franchise one?
Can you prove that they sold you this as a "plan"?

I guess franchise because they sell other carriers too. I don't have proof...it's about 4 years since I started with Sprint.

You have a remorse period to back out on your contract IIRC it's 14 or 30 days and you get no ETF.
In the meantime maybe you could schmooze up a rep to hook you up with a decent discount for 24 months "just because" ;)
See here.

Do you think I should first wait to see if they remove the discount and then fight it or call already  now?

One of the people on my plan is a goverment employee, can they just call up and ask for the discount or does it need to be the main account holder?

they can just add their name to the account, if necessary

I need advice: I called last week to upgrade (didn't know about the 27% employee discount I have on my account and didn't realize it could trigger them to ask to verify). I'm getting the phones today and they sent me a text asking me to verify that I qualify for the discount. Should I just use the phones and see what happens? Return and see what happens? I feel like I have some leverage now because if they want me to sign up another 2 years, they need to make it worth my while.

I'm a little afraid to call because once I tell them I can't verify the discount, will they immediately remove it? Or wait for the system to remove it?

What's your take on this?
