I don't remember if you are going with easy jet or not, but from what I remember/think the small spirit type of airlines (easy jet, Ryanair) will make you crazy with your dimensions and the big time airlines will be more ymmv (I only flew easy jet so the rest is my opinion)
Thought there was a more current carryon thread, but couldn't find it...I see that it's YMMV with getting a carryon onto the plane that's an inch too big this way, but 4 inches small enough that way etc., but does flying in J get you better carryon privileges?
IIRC LOT and LH allowed me. Google the other Airlines.
When do they charge you for your carry-on weighs to much?Im flying budget airlines in europe and would like not to pay extra on all the flights. If I have someone watch it on the side till I check in will that work?
Is air france strict on carry-ons? What's the chances of me getting through with a carry-on wheelie, suitbag, hatbox, And guitar?
Slim to none. But I aint a prophet. How are you gonna even carry all that yourself?
guitar on my back, wheelie in left hand, suitbag draped over right arm which is holding hatbox.
Did you book your ticket through a Travel Agent?
Baggage items exceeding 32 kg / 70 lb in weight or 300 cm / 118 in in length cannot be transported in the hold, except for:pole vaulting poles, audio or video equipment, heavy musical instruments.
I say flirt with the agent if you can..... then again, they are french....
that's what I usually do, let's hope for the best
Me too. Works like a charm every time
Guys... carry on dimensions have more to do with the airport than with the airline. Outside the US check in staff are from the airport not the airline.
Sounds like you're good
