if you have had the plat card int he past 12 months. some say that will block. though, if you have had the gold in the past 12 months (but prob not if hes getting targeted for it

i just did 2bbm on this and the spg the gold i got approved and the spg said pending is this normal for the 2bbm method

I applied for the Premier Rewards Gold card a few months ago, and at the time, I think the offer was 25k MR pts after spending $5k, and an additional 15k MR pts after spending $30k in a year. I called Amex recently to confirm what my offer was, and the representative told me that I was correct about the 25k MR pts for spending first $5k, but that the card has a standard benefit of 30k pts for spending $30k in a year. Has anyone ever heard of this? Or was the rep just wrong?
