On calling to have extra miles redeposited: Instead of 12.5K each being refunded, the entire 25K was refunded for a total of 50K.

Cost of flying from west coast to east coast in Y: -95K.

If you would of brought esrogim on your way in, it would of been an even better deal

If a business class seat opens up within 24 hrs of the flight, can I call in to be automatically upgraded, or can it be done only at the airport ?

Thanks. I'll need it. Especially because I'm hoping space opens up before the flight, so I can change my AC reservation from Y, to J for free.

Keep us posted here live how it goes in the airport. And if one agent is stubborn, don't kepp on arguing, it will only make that agent put a note on the ticket advising everyone not to give you PR-1 and then you wont have luck with different agent.

If the agents at regular check in don't do it for me, can I just check in, and then deal with it after I pass security ? Like at the lounge, or someplace else ?
