You seriously did not check the waitlist at all?

If you didn't refresh the app "at least" once in every 3 minutes then you should be banned for a week.

Also, explain the "fight" you had with the check in agents.

We checked in only an hour before the flight and of course we were the furthest gate. I literally ran to the gate and by the time we got there they were boarding zone 4. I should have checked the app just for academic purposes though.

First he kept insisting there are no complementary upgrades for this flight. Then he didn't believe that they deducted me miles to put me in business, then he didn't believe I paid 100 to switch lax-ewr to hnl-ewr,then he didn't believe I used my united card to pay for taxes so I should get free bags regardless. Every step was an argument

It didn't matter when I showed up. The entire business class was booked and showed up.
