OK weird:

1) I don't see that I got a confirmation from Staples from my order, but I see my credit card was charged for $101.95. Anyway to get a confirmation number for my order?

2) I see my card got charged this morning (Saturday at 9:19am) for $39.58 at Staples. I made no such charge (obv) -- think its fraud? Something to do with this order?

i got the same thing (though both the 101 and 39 are both still pending) Im guessing that they they are charging the 39 for the paper that shipped already and will charge the rest once the gc ships

But how does that make sense with the coupon?

It should be total of 101.95, not 106.95+39?

not sure where you see 106. Im assuming the put a hold on 101 (for the entire order) and then once one part (the paper) shipped out they put thru an actual charge for that and then will charge the rest once the gc goes out and release the hold on the 101

I don't see 106, but, if they already charged the 39, and the other thing I bought was a $100 gc for 106.95, then what are they going to charge me when the GC ships? If 106.95 that'll be too much...

I got a message from Staples that my order was on hold and I should call back to discuss it. I just called them back and they said the coupon was only for buying $100 of office supplies not for buying gift cards, so they wanted to know if I still want the gift card, so I said no and had the order cancelled.

I wonder what they are going to do about the rest of us. I have a feeling they might be charging me for the paper and just not shipping out the gift card. So it seems from my CC statement.

I'm pretty sure the paper has already arrived at my house, and I know that I have been charged the $40 for it.

What happens now if a) they just cancel the GC, leaving me paying $40 for a case of paper, or b) they send the GC but charge me $107? $:-\$

It may very well depend on the state, bc when I placed my order it said it was being delivered by staples so it's all coming from the same place.

I don't know about everyone else here, but I was charged $105.68 after tax and already got (and spent) my Visa in regular mail, and my paper was delivered by Staples.

Plus I got back $4.11 through ebates!!
