The Port Authority NY/NJ Staten Island Bridges Plan (NY/NJ SIB Plan) is $4.75 per trip at the Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing, provided you make at least 3 New York-bound trips in a calendar month. This reduced rate is available to all E-ZPass customers with non-commercial plates and private accounts who enroll in the plan in New York or New Jersey. If no trips are made across the Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge or Outerbridge Crossing in a calendar month, no plan-related charges will be made to your E-ZPass account. You will no longer be charged for any unused trips during the month.

i doubt it will effect the carpool rate because the carpool rate is manually charged at a cash lane when you are at the toll plaza but I would call and ask in any case.

Why are you complaining? You'd need 3 trips on the NY/NJ SIB just to get it $4.75, whereas the toll on the Tappan Zee is $4.75 to start with. Now when they finish the new bridge, then you'll have what to complain about.

they've always had a commuter plan,but those required you to buy a bunch of trips and you had to pay for the ones you didn't use. This plan has no minimum but also downs't help the first 3 times.
question- will trips using carpool count for the first 3 uses?

No, this is good. Just did it for my account. Any month thereafter when you go 3 times you are only charged for each of them the lower amount. Starting August. I think carpool is better, but this is for when you have to cross yourself or with the little woman.

as explicitly stated on their website it's only for those 3 bridges. BTW the tunnels I believe aren't PA they're MTA, correct me if I'm wrong.

If there are two cars on one EZpass account, two separate tags, will it count towards the discount? or each tag has a separate calculation?
