I know it's a bit early, however, I am planning on using BA miles and plan on booking before the devaluation (will it effect a trip like this?)
As opposed to last summer this time I will have my then 2.5 year old and iy"h a 6 month old. The plan is (departing from JFK) to go to Chicago for a week (Sunday to Sunday) to visit family and their sick vacation home in Michigan.
Question is where to go from there on my free connection on BA. I have 105k BA miles, but can top off with Amex MR if necessary.
Option 1:Quit while I am ahead and go back home
Option 2:LA/SD
Option 3:SF
Option 4:Las Vegas/Grand Canyon
Or I am open to any good ideas-please suggest. We mostly like travelling for nature, but really most importantly is something I can do easily with the 2 kids.
