line in/ fm transmitter
« on: August 12, 2012, 11:19:27 AM »
Ive been following the ddf for a while but never made an official post.. Here's my first..

I drive a 2009 Nissan Versa and for some odd reason the manufacturers decided not to include a line-in dock. They also did not include a tape deck so I have no way of playing my ipod over the car's audio system. My question is- Do I have any inexpensive options (under 75) other than an fm transmitter? And if not- any ideas as to which is the best fm transmitter out there?

Thanks

I like this one.  http://www.amazon.com/Soundfly-Player-Transmitter-Stick-Players/dp/B0018P7WZ2/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1344790337&sr=1-2&keywords=satechi+fm+transmitter
I find it works better for shiurim than music but maybe I just still haven't  found the right station.  The USB feature is great but unless they have fixed it the bookmark feature doesn't work right on big files like a shiur.

Reviving an old thread here...
I drive a 2012 Infiniti with primitive Bluetooth that only allows calls, not streaming media. For some reason they also manufactured these cars without an AUX port, just a USB port that only works with Apple devices or flash drives. Any suggestions for what I can use for streaming music/podcasts off my Android phone? I have an FM transmitter but I can't seem to find a good frequency as I do a lot of driving in Manhattan.
