I'm not a YQ maven (actually barely understand how it works) so wasn't sure if it can vary depending on which airline I book through.
UA doesn't charge YQ on LH.

Person that I'm helping book doesn't have UA miles or UR miles to transfer to UA.

I think this is only for Y, I don't think there are more than two types for J, saver and flex.

Availability for saver on FB, does NOT mean it's available to book with DL, no matter which class of service.

Also Flying Blue has promo from certain cities.  Right now Boston to TLV is 46,875.

Hope this is the right thread to post this question. I Just booked 2 RT Class I Tickets EWR-VIE-TLV with 320K United miles plus 209.76 USD Surcharges.  I was not able to select seats as it is a United ticket on Austrian metal. Is there a way to select a seat and to order kosher meals? the flight is in Feb.

Also, anyone with input on how good their business class is?

Thanks!

For some odd reason United cannot pull up Austrian PNR's. Call Austrian and give them your ticket number, (When you are in your reservation on United.com, select "View Receipt" and it will show your ticket number.) they will gladly book seats, and KSML for you.

With regard to the product, the flight between JFK and Vienna is IMHO a bit nicer than other European business class products. Although the VIE-TLV segment is fake J, but its only 3 hours (Shorter than ZRH, FRA etc..)

In addition, the KSML ex-VIE is delicious! (Besides being on a  very high Kashrus standard)

Friend has 575K amex points and wants to buy 7 tickets to Israel for pesach. I'm assuming award availability is going to be very limited and not shayach for 7 ppl? Is the best option to either sell the points and buy $ fare or have them get the amex plat and use 50% rebate with delta or american?

probably getting the biz plat to get the 50% bonus. But even so he wont be able to buy all the tickets at once because it takes 2 days for the bonus to post. Buy 4 wait 2 days and buy the rest if the price allows for that.
