How long do hard pulls count?
« on: August 14, 2012, 10:47:07 AM »
Experian says I have 8 hard pulls (in the list of negative things that could affect my score), they are counting a whole year of pulls, I only have 4 in the last six months.
Dan says they count only six months?

they are on your report for 2 years, but generally, banks care about the last 6 months

Experian list em as a negative for a year, On the report its in big bold letters: 8 hard pullsYou think the banks see a different format? Why assume this?

that does not mean thats what the bank looks at

each bank does their own thing, but generally, as dan said, 6 months is as far back as they look
