It would help to describe the tickets, some people deal with moving violations and some deal with parking..
It is all from Hashem and he will continue to give!

A 35$ ticket is def not a moving violation its a meter ticket and i assume $115 is a no standing ticket

35$ cuz I didn't display my muni ticket on the drivers side, and 115 cus I was sorta in the intersection b4 the holland tunnel and the cops there were handin out tickets like it was free water. Wasn't a very good week in terms of tickets. These are my first tickets ever and I'm only in ny 2 months.

Thats the NYPD welcome. Get used to it. I've seen cops hanging out by a car waiting for it to turn 12am at the 1st of the month to ticket an expired inspection sticker.

Id say just mail in the muni ticket plead not guilty, and hope for the best. The other one can be either a parking or moving violation. Used to be 2 point moving violation only, but if IIRC they now allow traffic cops to dish those out. Saw some hiding behind bushes in flatbush coupla times and running out by red lights or when cars jammed themselves in the intersection. If its a moving violation youd need to go to court to fight or hire a lawyer to fight for you. If parking, then Id advise just paying it as you have slim chance in winning. There are companies that claim to fight them but Ive heard several stories of people getting stiffed.

On what grounds were they dismissed
Violation Decisions: NPF/OTHER INADEQUATE OFFENSE DESC. Summons dismissed as defective, not on the merits, as there was no clear description of the violation on the summons.- intersection

Violation Decisions: AUTHORIZED VEH/DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE. that they had a valid muni meter receipt and submits the same.  Respondent has credibly established that they had a valid muni meter
receipt covering time of summons issuance.  Dismissed.

you are better off just paying the tickets. Neither should raise your insurance premiums

My wife got a stop sign ticket. When they wrote her drivel license # they mixed up the last 2 digits. If we fight the ticket is that a reason the judge would dispute the ticket?

Congrats on getting the tickets dismissed. It is a real zoo out there in NYC.

(No, wrong information about the car, your license number, or anything else on that part of the ticket will not get it dismissed.)

The "don't block the box ticket" is a 2 point violation, so it would pay to fight, not pay.

If you are going to revive every old parking ticket thread just to give yourself a backlink, at least spread accurate information.
"wrong information about the car, your license number, or anything else on that part of the ticket will not get it dismissed."
Incorrect. Body type is a required element on tickets and must be an exact match for NYS vehicles.

[/quot.
The issue here was not a parking ticket but a red light ticket. alas the back linking is over.
