My wife got a stop sign ticket. When they wrote her drivel license # they mixed up the last 2 digits. If we fight the ticket is that a reason the judge would dispute the ticket?
You should be able to safely ignore this ticket as it is Defective.
Neverthless, you should check her license online to see it's status for the next few months.

If you were to go in front of a Judge he would most likely throw it out as Defective, but then you would have wasted a half a day!

3. If it went in front of a judge she would be convicted as well as wasting half a day.
2. You can't check her license online, only the ticket, which I am sure you will be able to find.
1. If she were to ignore the ticket and continue driving sooner or later she would end up in the back of a car handcuffed, hauled off to jail and charged with a misdemeanor.

If they spelt my last name wrong on the ticket is the ticket still valid?

The real problem is that even after your comment I can't figure how to spell spelt right!

It will still be valid both in and out of court, if of course they find you, which they will.

I haven't lived in NY for 12 years B"H but back when I did, I had NY state plates (obviously) and I had vanity plates made up with a Hebrew phrase. The cops were always spelling it wrong on the parking tickets. I ignored them all. They never caught up to me.

Maybe you guys are talking about moving violations, but for a parking ticket for sure, if they write the license plate wrong, they ain't never gonna find you.

My plan is - when I  get vanity plates - is to get  0OO00O .
Hopefully I'll never see a parking ticket/ezpass ticket again  :)

Thought they just scan in the registration now, no more misspelling license plates or getting vehicles color wrong.
btw doubt that any combo of 00OO0O0 etc. would be available, not the first to think of it  :P

Wouldn't be surprised if they don't allow it.

My next option would be "B0OK" or "LO0SE" or something to that effect.

ETA: "MOT0R" would be a good one.

My brother put vanity plates on our car when we were younger "GVN2FLY".  We had the car for about 10 years. I only got pulled over once when I was going 30+ over the speed limit and the cop didn't even give me a ticket because he liked the license plate.
