You purchased a meter receipt while he was writing the ticket?

This is how I got away with one.

I got a ticket for cell phone in nyc.
How much would it cost to hire for a layer to fight it? What are the chances?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

The odds are around %50 %50.
Attorneys will cost you anywhere from $100-$500. Good luck

If you have the option to pay today or in a year from now which one would you choose? If there are some chances that the police won't show up would you go for it? And, when you challenge the ticket, you have a chance of reducing or even getting it dismissed completely :) but if you don't you certainly have to pay everything now.

How does pushing it off help ensure that the cop won't show up?
Secondly, consider that points stay on a license for about three years, and presumably starts from the day the driver is found guilty and paid, thus pushing off the chance for the points to fall off...

YMMV on the points part also on insurance company sometimes counts from the day of ticket....

Adult seat belt tickets don't carry points however they do effect your record. Child seat belts carry 3 points.
Second if you don't plan on personally showing up for the trial then the cop not showing up won't help you.
Third you can get a free consultation from a Michigan lawyer and find out it the conviction will transfer.
Forth which Court will you be in front of?
Fifth, how do people give advice without finding out the facts of the story first?!!?!
