http://www.onlinetravelreview.com/2012/08/16/buy-icelandair-miles-to-fly-on-alaska-airlines-to-hawaii-from-seattle-in-first-class-for-328-round-trip-really/

Anyone going for this?

The author claims its for a round trip but I'm very skeptical. The site doesn't specify...
https://www.icelandair.us/frequent-flyer/earning-and-redeeming/redeem-points/detail/item462611/Alaska_Airlines/

I'd grab it if I knew but the call center is closed.

1. How are you getting to Seattle? If with miles, just book an award to Hawaii.
2. This is a decent deal even without the 20% bonus. (anyone notice any other IcelandAir killer redemptions?)
3. If everyone storms IcelandAir the miles might get devalued and you'll be left holding a bag.

Can you tell if it's round trip or one way?

Its roundtrip and the Iceland Air Saga membership page is down.

I wonder why, their servers are probably overloaded...

How do you know? And please don't say because the online travel review said so. He contradicts himself about three times in the same article.

Whomever does purchase the miles would be wise to use them quickly.

That is what I am basing it on.

Why do you want 30,000 Saga Club miles? Because as you see here, it will only cost you 30,000 Saga Club miles to get yourself a FIRST CLASS roundtrip ticket on Alaska Airlines to all of their destinations in the US (Alaska and Hawaii included), Canada and Mexico to or from Seattle (see the full list here). Yes, I know it says “Continental U.S. and Canada” but I spoke with Icelandair and they said that the list of cities I linked to is actually the correct list of cities, and they include Hawaii, Mexico and Alaska. Coach tickets are 20,000 miles roundtrip ($228). There is a fuel surcharge, but it’s generally $40 or so.

Why? This is not a fare mistake or anything like that.

If it isn't (very?) profitable for them, they'll just adjust this specific ward chart.

That is what I am basing it on.

Ok if you take a look at their website it says: Saga Club members can redeem their Saga Points with Alaska Airlines. Why not fly to Hawai, Las Vegas or Los Angeles for only 20.000 Saga Points

It says nothing about RT. A simple reading tells me it's one way.

If its RT it's an amazing deal but it's always been around for about $100 more. If its one way it's an ok deal and a lot of people are going to be furious at a bunch of bloggers.

It may be OW. And yes Jared does seem to make contradictory remarks about that.

Thank you!  :)

Mommypoints and View from the wing both linked to it. I'm pretty sure it's OW but I'm going to call first thing unless someone proves it's RT before I fall asleep. Which will be really soon.

                                           Economy Class                First Class
Continental U.S. and Canada    20.000                        30.000

From Iceland Air Website. I would think it is a OW.

Based on what? Their other charts are R/T (albeit they state R/T explicitly).
