Don’t have a problem with any of that. Was just saying I’m not here to advocate for what to do. I don’t know if I went the smartest route and I’m not saying what to do. IANAL. If you’re arguing it’s legit laws, I mean Ok. I’m out. A Negotiable 691% with a valuation which is up to any agent. Ok. Most agents seemed to see something was off. It was mainly 1 (or 2, but he disappeared at some point IIRC) guy, who had this thing not to budge. Any negotiation was with other agents with him not being present, after every round they had to convince him…

What about paying the extortion fee with your CC and then disputing it and explaining it was  ransom to get your passport back?

Especially if you have a video of them refusing to give your passport back, should be an easy dispute.

Just go through this thread. All you need is a likeminded Amex employee and the dispute isn’t warranted and denied.
