Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

Looking for a new desktop for use with sketchup and quick books. On my second computer in the past 5 yrs that has run out of memory and Iím tired of scrambling to delete stuff so that I can download an email or save a file.
Any tips on what to look out for or what to avoid is appreciated!

Memory as in RAM or storage as in HDD or SSD?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Is this a good option for basic computing needs? Will it be able to run a program like fl studio well? Or how about games on a low setting without any graphics card added?

i would really appreciate if someone could point me in right direction regarding a desktop purchase. i know next to nothing when it comes to computers. all i know is that this is to be used as the primary computer in an administrative office setting. it needs at least 8 ram im being told (whatever that is) any help appreciated

Not sure what your price range is.
If you are looking to spend below $1000, would go with this https://www.costco.com/Dell-Inspiron-Desktop---Intel-Core-i7---GeForce-GT-1030---Windows-10-Pro.product.100416901.html
and if willing to spend above $1000 this
https://www.costco.com/Dell-XPS-8930-Tower---Intel-Core-i7---GeForce-GTX-1060---Windows-10-Pro.product.100405184.html
Deal ends July 29th

I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Both of these are way overkill
Agree re the second one, the first one can come to good use for multi tasking and the extra drive memory (if you have the extra cash) IMO.

Still overkill, no need for the graphics card or i7 processor

@avromie7 is right, and also I would be looking for an SSD (in addition to an HDD) which becomes increasingly more standard and is certainly a benefit for any computer.

Can anyone please help me out comparing this PC to this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N9VCGN8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ? I got the latter on prime day for $549.

Usage are for home/office with heavy graphics usage

(The Acer has less RAM but a better graphics card.)

TIA
