Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

While Acer isn't the best manufacturer, where else can you get a current-gen i5, 12 GB of RAM, a nice-sized-512 GB SSD for this price?
Nice deal:

HP Slim Desktop - S01-pF1048xt
  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • 10th Generation Intel  i5-10400 processor
  • 16 GB memory
  • 256 GB SSD storage; 1 TB HDD storage
$499

Now that's more like it:)

Question for you fine folks. Im lookingat buying an XPS in the current labor day deals, and am reading online about how the new XPS chassis (8940) is a downgrade on the old ones and will be too small to provide adequate airflow and the 360W power supply will likely be too low (based on prior pwoer issues with an earlier model but actually higher than 360W) - unless you opt for the add-on 500W, which is not offered on every configuraiton. Any comments on the validity of these concerns?
