Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

Both of these are way overkill
Agree re the second one, the first one can come to good use for multi tasking and the extra drive memory (if you have the extra cash) IMO.

Still overkill, no need for the graphics card or i7 processor
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

@avromie7 is right, and also I would be looking for an SSD (in addition to an HDD) which becomes increasingly more standard and is certainly a benefit for any computer.

This is going down to $500 on 6/28

https://www.costco.com/HP-Pavilion-Desktop---Intel-Core-i5---Radeon-RX-550.product.100418313.html

Is it a good deal at that price?

Can anyone please help me out comparing this PC to this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N9VCGN8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ? I got the latter on prime day for $549.

Usage are for home/office with heavy graphics usage

(The Acer has less RAM but a better graphics card.)

TIA

Is this a good deal? Just looking for basic web browsing with video conferencing, basic MS OFFICE.
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Desktop-i3-7100-Windows-TC-780-ACKi3/dp/B071DM6TWM/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1535494232&sr=1-3&keywords=acer+desktop
Seems like a good deal. Even though an i3 is a little bit too weak but for the price and basic use it should be pretty good.

How's this for a basic work desktop? Don't need the micro but prefer it. Need Windows Pro. I also like the 3 year dell warranty.  Could I do better?

You could and should do better.
4gb ram is a little low for these days even for basic office work.

"Small Biz Use" doesn't mean a lot...

Do you know of any specific needs? Windows Pro, Or so.

Otherwise, the refurbished above is a good deal.

I'm looking to buy a desktop for a home office. I need a computer that can handle Adobe creative cloud well, for graphics and photos. Not really sure what I should be looking for, and what to keep an eye out on black friday for. I may be able to get a student discount. I'm a windows user, but would be willing to consider mac if it's a much much better option and not a fortune.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

1) This desktop has - Type 290 W APFC
https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/desktop-and-all-in-one-pcs/vostro-desktop/spd/vostro-3670-desktop/smv3670w10ph2107
2) And this has - Type 460 W APFC
https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/4848446/Dell-XPS-8930-Desktop-PC-8th/fromLocalBrowse=false

Is the first desktop PSU considered low at this price, should I consider the second one? (Need a desktop for video and photo editing and graphic design)
