Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

Looking to buy a New Desktop PC With these specs:
(Newer?) i5 or i7 (Or Maybe a AMD Ryzen Equivalent?)
8Gb+ Ram
SSD+HDD (Don't really need a big SSD as all i need it for is my OS and Programs but it would be nice to have 128GB or maybe even 256Gb. As for the HDD i would like it to be around 1Tb.)
Windows 7 (This is a big one as i am having difficulty finding a newer PC with Windows 7 as most PC i saw come with windows 10.)

Looking to spend 600$-750$ but willing to spend up to 1000$ if necessary.

Any Advice would be appreciated.

Windows 7 won't be supported from Jan 14 2020.
Also you can't really find new computers with Windows 7, maybe newish like 6th gen. But not newer.

I Understand that but I'd still prefer Windows 7.

So what would be my best course of action? buy a new one with windows 10 and get my local tech store to install windows 7? Or are the 6gen processors good enough?

Anything newer than a 6th gen isn't supported for security updates with Windows 7.
Even with 7th or 8th you will have to do some tinkering to get it right, even then usually works only with 7 professional.

So my best bet would be (if i need Windows 7) to buy a 6th gen? Any recommendations on such a PC?

If you want windows 7 best bet is 6th gen intel.
I can't recommend a good pc with that.
But check tigerdirect.com you should be able to find there.

The major con any 6th gen i5 or even i7 won't be as good as a 8th gen i5.

Ok, I'll check them out.
How much worse? like not worth purchasing or just "not as good" as the newest gen?
What about AMD chips do they support windows 7?

Thanx- does it make sense to buy a computer on eBay? What kind of warranty is that? And it’s refurbished. Is it such a good deal?

Bought several 90 day warranty, you cannot beat this deal for I7 and 16GB memory.

Just to add the obvious:
needs dedicated higher end graphics card, at least 24 GB RAM and at least option for 1TB hard drive (prefer at least some SSD).

Something like this?... I think it is a good price for what you get.

Thanks. That looks like a good deal. But I think it's overkill for just graphic design. Looks like the graphics card is optimized for gaming which I don't need.
Would like to keep it under $2k.

These are great options. Have been cheaper but not bad pricing now.
