Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

Can prob find better use for that amex sync credit, without the $50 off from Amex its pretty much regular price...
I haven't seen one with a monitor included like that at that pricepoint in some time.  And deals that include monitors always seem to perform better.
But feel free to post better uses (Though with AUs it's not hard to keep getting the credits) :)

Hey guys,

I'm looking for 2 desktop PC's for a retail business. Will be running a POS system & Microsoft Office. What do I need and are there any good deals now?

Thanks

I'm sorry, I noticed that it's without the monitor.

Question: If I don't need a monitor, should I upgrade to the optiplex 7010 over the 3010 to get to $599?

is it necessary to sync the amex to twitter to get the 50 off? i mean when i login to my amex account and go to "my offers", it gives me the option to "save" the Dell 50 off 599+ offer onto my card, without having to do anything with twitter?

That's for i3 not i5. If you want a deal stick to the script - unless you know the difference

It is now that someone added the $100 off!! That coupon wasn't posted till much later - without the coupon it wasnt a deal. Newegg was selling the system for under $500 and $170 for a screen isn't a deal

The one that I pulled up on Dell SB was the 3010 with i5.

Which xeon are you referring to and what 4th gen i7?

Very often certain processors are better at handling certain functions than others.

Ordered the computer that Dan posted about last week Friday, however Amex didn't let the charge for the monitor go thorough, (just the desktop) so they said by email they will try to charge the card again on Monday, however Saturday night I chat with them asking they should try to process the card again (I did't wanna wait until Monday) so the rep said the he can cancel the monitor from Friday and make now a new order, so I said ok, now I see that they actually did charge me on Monday, and sent out 2 monitors, so my question now is, can I call them in and say hey... you sent me a order that was canceled, do I have any chance they will just let me keep the monitor?

From your description,  it sounds as if they were supposed to cancel the order,  but didn't.   Not that they shipped a cancelled order.  Either way, I don't see why they would let you keep it.

They shipped a canceled order. I have proof in the email they sent me from the chat session.

Now what do you think, they will give me send me a return label?

Wait a few days and see if they contact you. Check if you were billed for it, then depending on your ethics and morals decide whether to contact them and offer to keep it for a reduced price or...
