Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

Good Question!

I'm gonna assume Home Premium, I figure if it were the more expensive version like pro, they would probably list it.
I just chatted with staples online, they said its Home Premium, which makes sense. It doesnt really make a difference to me because I have a disc for Professional, but it would have been easier if it came with it instead of me having to install it.

If you don't need touchscreen I would look in Dell Business Outlet for the Optiplex 9020. It's a great system and comes standard with 3 year warranty even on the refurbs. You should def find something there with an i7 for under $850

Looking for a new computer for my receptionist.  Two monitors is a huge plus.  Win 7 Pro as well.  Other than that, not many requirements.  Would like to stay in the $500 range and have been waiting on an AmEx offer from Dell but no dice so far.  Have mostly Dell PCs now but it's not necessary.

I have the Dell Optiplex 3020 in stock with Windows 7, i5 processor and 3 year warranty. PM if you're interested - I'm in Brooklyn. If that doesn't work for you I'll see what else I can find you.

Does it make a difference if the computer is 32 or 64 bit?
