Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

been trying to decide on an AIO with 27 inch screen, does it need to be better than 1080p to comfortably work on documents (zoomed at two pages side by side on screen)? thinking either this: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/HP-ENVY-Recline-TouchSmart-27-k151-Signature-Edition-All-in-One/productID.306261700 or this: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Dell-XPS-27-Signature-Edition-All-in-One/productID.306281600

dell is my preference, but do people think that the prices will go down for black friday?

Better than 1080p for documents? I don't think so.

The Hp recline is a very nice looking desktop I sold a few to a client a few months back.

Personally I favor the i5 over the i3. I have both and I do think you will see significant differences. Unless of course you plan on just using it for light web browsing/simple spreadsheets and wordsheets in which case and i3 will be just fine. Pricewise they aren't amazing. I think stores tend to hike the prices up this time of year to make it seem as if BF/CM actually have great sales.

That's just my personal opinion...

Any great deals out there today for a home desktop?  Needs to have DVD and basic applications - nothing too fancy.  Kids mostly use it for pictures, videos and school work.
