Just last night I closed my wife's Amex plat card. I was an AU under it.
The first rep I spoke to told me that I wasn't going to get the $175 annual fee back for the AU. I HUCA and the rep told me the same, and I escalated and told the supervisor that I had been told in the past that I was gonna get it (I did). After putting me on hold, (not sure if she went to listen to recordings or what), she came back and said that if I was told so they will refund it.
Does anyone know what the actual policy is on this?
I don't want to call Amex and ask them to add an AU and at the same time ask if I cancel within 60 days will I get the $175 back...
