I'm not quite going to +1 this, but I definitely think Jewda's comments are distasteful. While I too disagree with the Rav, it doesn't mean I shouldn't respect him as a Rav.

IMO, he's missing that El-Al is a ISRAELI company, not necessarily a JEWISH company.

Chaikel, that is not what happened here. You can pasken a shaila without knowing the price of a ticket.

If the mistake was the tickets for 3.50, what would you say then, Dan? Would you agree that it is a significant loss? Would you have a chiyuv hashavas aveida? Would it be asur lefarsem?

A different point - I think (without understand fuel tax like some people here) that El Al got burned with their own shtick. Fwiu, the fuel charge is a scam, a way to make the ticket price sound less.
