you can probably get one by giving donation but you won't get it signed so its not as useful. Best way to get one is by knowing a cop or knowing someone that knows cops. (I do some computer work for them and data recoveries etc - that's how I got mine)

so following your flawed logic if your buddy's with government workers you should be given a friendly exemption from paying your taxes too amongst many other things.

do you get things for cheaper at certain stores? Government workers can't control taxes but cops have the right to let you off with a warning

I know it's a reality of life, but this is almost a form of mainstream corruption by public officials who are paid to do their job and treat people equally by everyone who works for a living & pay's taxes, I grew up in a country where this kind of thing was unheard off.

Is there no difference between getting a discount in a store, and public officials applying the rule of law differently to people based on their possession of a plastic card?

these cards are basically asking from one cop to another to give a warning to his friend or fam member which every cop has a right to decide depending on the case to give a warning. these cards are not a free pass to do what you want .

If its not signed, they prob are concerned of the same thing. If it is signed, the will usually call the guy on the back of the card- it is not a one time pass- they are actually usually good for one year.

Your friend should be arrested for theft. He is not the Judge and Jury to decide if it belongs to said person.

Actually you are incorrect. On the back of every PBA card says something along the of how the card belongs to the PBA and any officer has the right to take it away.

I have a friend who Is a Port Authority detective and she was pulled over (in a different district) in her personal car for not stopping long enough at a stop sign! And got a ticket even after showing her Id and badge.. Some cops no matter who you are if you did something wrong they will ticket you... Or take away your PBA card.

She didn't have a PBA card for him? lol

In Virginia they are known to be horrible... they actually pulled over a fleet of NJ State Troopers that were going to help out after Hurricane Katrina for using lights and sirens.
