Uhaul Rental

Anyone have experience renting a moving truck? They say you only need to be 18 on their site to rent but is there an underage fee with that and does that apply in all locations (budget says it depends on location)? Any info you guys have will be helpful. Thanks

I know of a shady place in Detroit (Penske) I've had then add people with permits as drivers

I'm not sure about the age thing, but I recently priced out a rental and found Penske to be a few hundred dollars cheaper than uhaul. (Budget was somewhere in between, closer to uhaul)

about a year and a half ago i looked into it and found that budget rented to 18 year olds with no extra fees, not sure what the policy is now

Use Budget coupon codes, and get Uhaul to match Budget's price, or Budget to match Uhaul's price.

I`ve rented trucks from Uhaul a few times. They are ok so to speak, but there are better companies out there I think.

Penske is the greatest, they guarantee the reservation and have nice new trucks.
They'll price match as well.
Get them to price match and say you do not have the AAA discount. After they match call up and say you have AAA. It'll put down the rate even more.

Looks like in this article Uhaul is on 3rd spot behind Budget Rental and Penske, but according to the reviews, there aren`t big differences between them ...if you look at the numbers I mean.
