Does opening a bank account affect your credit, in the sense that opening a credit card does?

Some banks do a hard credit pull, other don't.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is there some definitive list (or definitive word-of-mouth) of which banks do such a thing and which don't?  I'm asking because I'm considering opening one or two for perks that aren't great enough to open a credit card for.
