I'm tempted to give up my CPC for this...

Why do you have to give it up? Once you're CPC don't you stay like that for good?

Good question. You stay with CPC until the banker decides to boot you, some are more makpid then others.

It's a mostly meaningless thing, except you get treated a but better, so essentially anyone that is keeping money there is giving up potentially significant interest profit for some prestige.

I guess I have a really nice banker (he actually is a very nice frum guy). I got CPC through a joint account and I'm still CPC even though I barely have any money going through my account.

Funny thing is the joint account was closed after a very short time so I don't think it was due to inactivity. The banker obviously chapped that I only opened it to get the status, then closed it.

interesting. Definitely seems like some bankers are much less makpid then others. I should pull my savings out completely, however in the back of my mind I know that I want to buy a house in the coming months anyhow,,, so making me lazy to change anything.

I know when sending a wire transfer I don't pay when one has a Chase Private client account, now does the receiving end get charged a fee for receiving the funds?

For example I want to send over $5,000 to someone in Canada from the US.
I can do PayPal friends and family, but then they'll charge him a fee to convert the money into Canadian dollars to deposit into his bank account.
Even if I would tell him to make a zelle account don't think that would help as he would still have to pay a transfer fee to convert it into Canadian dollars.
What I could do technically, is deposit the money in my own bank account and then the next time I'm in Canada take it out with my TD card or my Chase debit card.

Unless there's another option to convert the u.s. dollars into Canadian dollars without a fee?

Giving him US dollars cash is always an option just trying to see how I can converted to Canadian dollars?

He will get charged a conversion fee.

Even though it shows $0 for me to send the payment in Canadian dollars, and to a Canadian bank? Meaning it converts it for me on my end , showing how much I'm sending.

I guess I can try with $5 or some small amount $20 from my CPC account and see what happens.
 Thanks though.
Some times trial and error works best.
But asking doesn't hurt!
