Closest airport is PHL so I guess that leaves me with one option 80k on USAirways.  You can get 40k right off the bat with the Barclays card so 40k more via UR pts shouldn't be terrible. Horrible availability at the 80k rate though.

1) The Barclays card is known to bait-and-switch people and give the smaller offer, not 40k.
2) UR points do not transfer to US Airways.
3) "One option"? Seriously?! Besides for the dozens of possible Europe connections (such as PHL-ZRH-TLV), what's wrong with including a short flight to JFK or EWR (for the same amount of miles) and flying from there?

1. already got the 40k, but I understand that happens to many people.
2. you're right.
3. not interested in a euro connection. But i didn't know i could fly BWI - JFK/EWR to TLV for 80k. Will have to look in to that.

Or ATL, if you choose to go the Skyteam route.

Yup, I am. :(
Any preventive measures that I can take?
Or ATL, if you choose to go the Skyteam route.
You mean Skyteam would have better avail. via ATL?
I thought finding Skyteam availability is near impossible.. ???

Still?
They seem to have changed the terms and I thought now everyone gets the full 40k. They gave me a platinum card instead of premier but I got the full miles.

Some links seem to waive the fee for the first year and some don't. be careful

Don't think so - although you should know the answer already: it depends which card they issued you. So check which version you have...

Not "better" - just an additional route, ATL-TLV on Delta. Lousy availability, perhaps, but a stingy route is better than no route. ;)

However...

Ouch. It was supposed to be suspended only until this summer, though now that you mention it, I don't see any available flights. Maybe it is gone, after all. :(

Yup, this was fixed and as long as you get approved for a card via this app, you're eligible for 40k.

You still got to make sure to fulfill the spend requirements in time if you want to actually get the bonus.
