Hello,
Im coming to IS for a year BAH and I was a little concerned about formula,pampers,and baby food. can someone help me out.
Do they sell in IS: 1)Enfamil  gentleease formula?
2)Pampers brand diapers ?
3) The ready to eat food the puree stuff that you buy in the small glass jar Gerber brand?

OK, I guess you mean EY/IL. I do not know gentle-ease, they have pampers and everything else that they have in America, just not in all stores. They sell deo., aluminum foil, zip-lock bags, BBQ sauce, toilet paper, white-out ...

Actually, if you use Baby Spritz, it could be they do not have here. I can't think of much else offhand. Some things cost more, possibly Gerber baby food.

pple have babys in israel and they actually grow up to be adults. so their def kept alive with food and the sort.
You can find everything in israel... some things if your very particular, you will need to spend more money for...

Thank u. My baby needs to have a certain type of formula that's why I asked about a specific type even this yes I know baby's grow to be adults there but my concern is for a specific type of formula. Thanks

Ya. U can find most things on the makolets here.  If in mealot dafna area then u can go to arzie makolets I'd ur more Centrally located then go to benny's in geula they have a massive amount of American products, I will be in that area soon I will check for ur formula

This is the aisle in benny's though I didn't see the specific formula. I do see the kids food purred type.  Also someone told me that u have to ask a dr here they will tell u a good replacement formula just in case

Where are you planning to live? If in Kiryat Gat, Mitzpe Rimon or Haifa, I do not know what they have available there.

I live in Yerushalayim and to answer your questions:

3 - yes. Materna is the Israeli company, it looks just like Gerber and is much better than the other, more Israeli baby food jars. Most stores don't carry such a wide variety of flavors like you'll find in a U.S. supermarket but I've found more to choose from in bigger stores, such as Yesh.

This is the arzie makolet. The top shelf is 'pampers' and third is tons of gerber food. Though it's 6.90₪. A big jar

Actually, Materna bought out Gerber here in Israel, so the jars that say "Gerber" are being phased out. But don't worry, even though all the new jars say Materna, it's really still the same Gerber stuff at heart - in fact, the logo is still the picture of the Gerber Baby.
