There is a minyan in Touro synagogue (Newport) nowadays. Was just there last week. Make sure you get there on time, as its very quick.

The Hampton Inn in Middleton, Rhode Island is nice and not far- 7 min drive.

Was anyone in Newport RI this summer? how was the trip? is there minyunim in touro this season? any updates on the hyatt? I plan to go there for labor day weekend, was just wondering if antything changed this year Tnx

I was in Newport last summer and had a great time. It's a nice spot for a short (2 days) vacation. You should definitely rent those scooters. There are also many water activities to do there and don't miss the sunset cruises. If your into spas, Newport has some great ones. I didn't stay at the Hyatt or daven at Turo so no comment on either of those.

I'm staying at the Travelodge in Middletown.
$221 for 2 nights.

3 kids are definitely going to limit your options but there is still what to do. Instead of renting the moped scooters you can get these mini coup scooters (we actually got those bc my wife was expecting and they wouldn't let her on the mopeds) they are pretty cool too. You can also check out the mansions but kids will probably bore easily there.

could have told you that. Anything decent hotel in Newport would cost more than that a night.
