Wait for the W hotel mattress sale to come around.

Costco is always a nice option. they deliver (certain models) for free and have free return shipping if it doesn't suit you. They have some pretty decent options and price range.

Is there a special link for this sale or do I just go to their website?

Saw in the comments to the article that people aren't as happy with it claiming that they changed. Is that the case? Anyone bought one recently?

I've always liked Sander's furniture. Great prices, no pressure, good selection. I got my mattress there when I was single, and again when I got married.

I bought one exactly one year ago (so I can't comment on it's sustainability). We love our W so far, and I am pretty picky about mattresses. It's held up fine and it really is that comfortable.

The Simmons Beautyrest is on 1SaleADay today (here).
1. Is the Beautyrest Firm the same as the old W mattress?
2. i know that 1SaleADay has horrible to nonexistent customer service, but if I buy it on an Amex am I safe?

1. My experience with mattress is that they all have slightly different model names to make it impossible to compare one version of simmons to another.

2. What are you hoping amex will cover you for? They all seem to have a 5 year simmons warrenty.

I don't know of anyone that will take a mattress back as a return (unless there's actually something wrong with it) besides costco (as I mentioned earlier). I don't know about amex however I doubt they will cover all $1200.

On regular amex cards, only up to $300. I would never buy such a large purchase from these guys

Sleepy's is a big ripoff, unless you have some time to help them change their mind. Go into a Sleepy's store, get prices, and then call up phone sales (1800 mattress). Make them beat each other's prices till they won't go lower. I did that on mine, got them both, with free box springs, and mattress covers, delivered, for around $1800. I think "full price" is around $4000, not including the box springs or delivery

I've had great experience shopping at Taubus furniture in BP. Good quality great service excellent prices. I've gotten all my furniture/mattresses there for years and any issues that came up were resolved immediately and satisfactorily. Owner's a really nice guy.  Generally speaking I like to patronize frum establishments whenever possible.
