Any ddf reviews more recent than two years ago?

I bought my (queen size) W 2 years ago (give or take a week) and it's been great for us. (That comment said 2 years ago from 2012 so I definitely fall in that window.)
Next question.

Why am I paying 200 bucks for a box spring? Shouldn't I just get the mattress from them and buy a box spring from who knows who. Is there any difference between one box spring and another?

CMIIW but I believe their warranty is conditioned on using their box spring.

Not as good.

Amex extended warranty will only be poel during the 11th year.
Return protect does not apply to used goods I believe.

You forgot that you also live in the land of Amex extended warranties and Amex return protection
I was under the impression, that Amex extended warranties, are only on products with a warranty of 5 years and less.

Was just at Mattress Discounters looking for 2 full size beds. And he originally quoted me $1799 for a brand named AipPoint I think.. and when I said I need to look into it more he called his boss and it magically went down to $1300 delivered with everything.  Any ideas on where to go from here?

Do you know the brand? Is it a good brand? Mattress is a very important investment. I wouldn't just buy any brand
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Our master set, and one of our twin sets, came from here.  We are very happy. Almost 10 years.

Bought the W Hotel Bed during the 50% sale. It is very comfortable, only question is will it hold up.

the warranty is typical - good only if it sags 1 1/2 inches which the mattress company will almost never agree it did. But from the tag it shows some of the Beautyrest beds with 20 yr warranties will be covered if it sags only 3/4 inch. I dont know which those are but it is much more likely that you could collect on that.

Are the specialized mattresses really that great ? The way they advertise it sounds like you wake up feeling like superman.

I sold mattresses for years and will tell you Simmons Beauty Rest Pillow Top is superior to Sealy.
The coils are smaller individually wrapped on the better Beautyrest giving you a more balanced sleep better for your back
As you get older its best not to sleep too close to those metal springs but to have a nice cushion under you before it hits the metal springs.
If I could get customer off Sealy idea and pay a little more for Beautyrest I always did especially for adults.
I even put a Cloud 9 3 inch high density foam pad on top of the pillow top in my house for extra support because wife has bad back from surgery as a child
You will need though 12" to 15" sides on sheets to cover it properly
It has really helped her sleep much better.
Hope this helps in your decision.

That's usually the problem because people rarely buy a new mattress these salespeople aren't the most honest to work with especially the chains like Sleepy's.
Its a highly commissioned type of sales and usually the salesperson will guide you towards the most commission he can make on a sale rather than what's best for you.
I personally think its best like I do go to a dept. store like Macys or one of the higher end Retail stores that sell bedding when they have their bedding sales. Ask for the higher end pillowtop beauty rest mattresses to try out .
This way when you purchase if you have an issue they will address it.
Afterall a place like Macys wont want to lose your business on other items whereas Sleepy's probably wont see you again for quite some time.
These chain little mattress stores promise you the moon until you have an issue then they play dumb.

No always true. That's why I said wait for sale.
At least with a Macy's dept store you have better chance of getting what you paid for.
These little bedding stores lie a lot. Tell you what they think you want to hear.
After  who is going to tear open mattress to find out if what they told you is true or not?

Question: is it a bad sign if the mattress is sinking in the place where i slept? Does that show poor quality?

Pillow top?
Permanently sunk or just when you get up?
