Just saying that comparing ch to west Rogers park is also not 100% correct
Why not?
they're obviously not equivalent but for this discussion they're in the same dimension.

What do houses go for there?
[/quote]

Asher) - houses in SI are cheap compared to other 5 borough houses, but not Cleveland. I bought a beautiful semi-attached house (3br 1.5 bath (no master bath) with huge backyard, 3,164 total sqft of land) a few years ago that had been completely redone (by a chabadnik) with a stainless steel/granite kitchen and beautiful floors for $380K (i put in zero work before moving in), though i probably could have gotten a fully detached 4000sf ft house for about 50K more (that would need work). friends have bought semi's for low 300s with some minor work needed.

there is actually a nice carnival w/ uncle moishie and the twins from france inthe park today if anyone is interested in checking out the hood http://www.sihatzolah.org/

Biggest problem here is there are few normal rental apartments available since there are no buildings, so it is hard to get young people unless they can already pay for a house.

$250K in Brooklyn would probably buy you a cockroach/rat infested basement.  I've yet to ever even see one of those creatures in CLE in 27 years.
$250K in LA buys you...a garage spot?

And now we know why...

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.
