Barclay reconsideration line: 866-408-4064, Mon-Fri 8AM - 5PM EST.
The 24-hour number is 866-408-4064
New 24 hour number is 866-205-5973
you can finally fax documents to Barclays the number is 866-836-6959

Based on the phone reps, an application usually remains in the system for 90 days, during which you can ask for a reconsideration.
However, if 30 days have passed, it will incur another hard pull.

There have been a few reports of Barclay pulling credit again when reconsidering - even when specifically asked not to.
Make sure to explicitly tell the rep that you don't want another credit pull. The benefit of such action would be that if later you see they did pull your credit you can call up and speak to a manager and have the pulls removed (based on first-hand accounts from this thread).

If you want to guarantee that you don't get another pull, freeze your credit report.

While Barclay recon reps are usually very tough to deal with, there have been sporadic reports of them reconsidering by reallocating credit-line from other cards. Additionally, there are a few reports indicating success with the 3BM.
Personal and biz didn't combine

Barclay recon reps take notes of each phone call and subsequent reps usually regurgitate the previous rep's reply.

Barclays has a 6/24 rule similar to chase 5/24. Not hardcoded like chase though.

I did 2BM for NFL + US Air in Oct 2012. Got 1 pull on TU. Approved for both and never had a Barclay's card before.

Did not get instant approval on either of them. Got approved a week later for NFL without doing anything. Got a letter for US Air after a week telling me to call them, I answered some questions and the lady was curt but approved me.

I guess I got lucky?

That was before the crackdown.

There was no general crackdown, IMO. Only one pertaining to the USAir. They had their draconian acceptance policies before the so-called crackdown.

What happened to US Air?
They used to allow more than one USAir app at a time.

Look wahts Dan is writing in this post:

I have done successful 4BMs with Barclays in the past. If you are denied you can call reconsideration at 866-408-4064.

Dan probably has an 849 FICO score and that's why he can do what he does.

Just called reconsideration for the second time, but again no chance they will approve me for the 2nd and 3rd card I applied.
But they will take back the exp pull they pulled the first time I called recon after claiming i did not authorizre then to pull my credit again. Was told to try again in 6-12 month.

Looks like at this point it is pretty much settled - if you don't have an existing card with them - 2 or 3 BM would not work.

They were adamant about it when i HUCA'd. They gave me arrival with 12.5 CL and mentioned high score + always payments on time, but "unfortunately we can not extend Airways to you" spiel.

Would be interested to hear from people that opened 1, waited (how long) and 2/3BMed for more.

I just recently did a 2BM  for my first Barclays cards. US Air approved by splitting CL from Arrival, which got instant approval.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

You are not getting the point -- I got a card-- technically why would it matter to give another one (with the same CL but split between 2 cards).
Their exposure will be the same. The fact pulls didn't prevent them from giving me one-- tells me that there probably is unofficial rule not to give to unless you already have one with them

Your logic negates the that foundation DDF, FT, SD, FW, MP are built on: YMMV.

The fact that it "makes sense" and "it happened to me" should never turn into a rule in this business.
