Barclay reconsideration line: 866-408-4064, Mon-Fri 8AM - 5PM EST.
The 24-hour number is 866-408-4064
New 24 hour number is 866-205-5973
you can finally fax documents to Barclays the number is 866-836-6959

Based on the phone reps, an application usually remains in the system for 90 days, during which you can ask for a reconsideration.
However, if 30 days have passed, it will incur another hard pull.

There have been a few reports of Barclay pulling credit again when reconsidering - even when specifically asked not to.
Make sure to explicitly tell the rep that you don't want another credit pull. The benefit of such action would be that if later you see they did pull your credit you can call up and speak to a manager and have the pulls removed (based on first-hand accounts from this thread).

If you want to guarantee that you don't get another pull, freeze your credit report.

While Barclay recon reps are usually very tough to deal with, there have been sporadic reports of them reconsidering by reallocating credit-line from other cards. Additionally, there are a few reports indicating success with the 3BM.
Personal and biz didn't combine

Barclay recon reps take notes of each phone call and subsequent reps usually regurgitate the previous rep's reply.

Barclays has a 6/24 rule similar to chase 5/24. Not hardcoded like chase though.

Only for Arrival according to most reports.

It seems like it's only for the Arrival for now.

I'm seeing some people getting approved for the A+ over the last couple days while being over 6/24 so I'm really not sure exactly what's going on. It does seem to be a hard rule that recon can't get past but seemingly only when it's actually invoked by the system so what the exact parameters are for that is yet to be seen.

Did a 3BM aviator, arrivals plus, and miles and more.
Got approved for arrivals and miles and more.
Can't get the third approved.
Should I ask them to approve the aviator instead of the miles and more?

doesnt work like that. Once a card is approved it is approved you can't switch. Your best option is to see if they can transfer credit from another card. But getting 3 cards approved is really hard

applied for the Jet blue card, told it was under review...Called and they approved it. Does it pay to try for 1 of their other cards, or not worth the risk? (and which other card is best:)?

didnt see biz, now that I saw your post 30 million times I saw the biz part (thanks for teaching me that there is a barclays AA biz, I had no ideas) Not sure if biz and personal combine to one.

However no need to cross post. You are less likely to get an answer the more times you post as it pisses people off.

If they have a second tier recon dept which is open now as opposed to higher tier, less likely for approval and they can notate account for no approval which will be harder to overturn even with better recon group. I had this with Amex and Chase before..
