Barclay reconsideration line: 866-408-4064, Mon-Fri 8AM - 5PM EST.
The 24-hour number is 866-408-4064
New 24 hour number is 866-205-5973
you can finally fax documents to Barclays the number is 866-836-6959

Based on the phone reps, an application usually remains in the system for 90 days, during which you can ask for a reconsideration.
However, if 30 days have passed, it will incur another hard pull.

There have been a few reports of Barclay pulling credit again when reconsidering - even when specifically asked not to.
Make sure to explicitly tell the rep that you don't want another credit pull. The benefit of such action would be that if later you see they did pull your credit you can call up and speak to a manager and have the pulls removed (based on first-hand accounts from this thread).

If you want to guarantee that you don't get another pull, freeze your credit report.

While Barclay recon reps are usually very tough to deal with, there have been sporadic reports of them reconsidering by reallocating credit-line from other cards. Additionally, there are a few reports indicating success with the 3BM.
Personal and biz didn't combine

Barclay recon reps take notes of each phone call and subsequent reps usually regurgitate the previous rep's reply.

Barclays has a 6/24 rule similar to chase 5/24. Not hardcoded like chase though.

Applied for Miles and More+Arrival, Arrival was approved M & M was denied because "OUR RECORDS SHOW YOU HAVE ALREADY ESTABLISHED THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE NUMBER OF THIS PRODUCT".
Called in and was told that can only have it once in 24 months, Any truth in it?

IME once they deny for 6/24 you won’t get approved no matter how many times you HUCA. The part that’s not hard coded is that it doesn’t always trigger. I just had this the other week with them. Wife was well over 6/24, approved for business and personal.

I tried a 2bm for the Arival and Jet Blue Biz.
Was approved for the arrival and pending for the JB Biz.
I checked my application status (link in wiki)
And it only shows me that I was approved for the Arrival with no mention of the JB biz card.
Is that normal? Any way for me to check the status on the JB biz?

I believe the link is just for personal cards, I personally have never been able to pull up pending business apps via the link.

Thanks.
I got the link in the pending email so would think it should work for business.

Applied for Barclaycard Arrival Plus (personal). Got message that it's being reviewed and will be notified within 10 days. I never had a Barclays card so I'm unfamiliar. I'm at 3/24 but above that with AU (I think only 5/24 though).
Do AU's count with Barclays? Is it the same as with Chase and Recon generally ignores AU's when you advise them you are not financially responsible?? Any advice appreciated!

AFAIK it's not clear if they have a hard coded 5/24 or according to some 6/24 rule like Chase. They definitely do look at how many recent cards you opened in past 24. I'd assume they do count AU's since they show up on your report. they're much stricter with if you opened any recent Barclay cards though.
It doesn't hurt to call recon. (#'s in Wiki) be nice and explain things. They're recon has a bad rep but I had a nice experience today

Called recon today. The rep was very nice. asked the basic questions of income and what type of Biz it is. Said that since I'm new to Barclays he wants to take some of my 12.5 k credit line from my new Arrival card. probably one of my easiest recon calls i've made.
I asked if they did separate credit pulls for the personal and Biz cards and he said that they do two. though I haven't checked my report yet to confirm

I have read about a 6/24 rule on DD. My main question is how they deal with AU's. But even with AU, I am only at 5/24

HUCA get the right rep and explain it should be possible to exclude the AU.

Got letter of denial and it said bec to many accounts opened recently. Definitely sounds like 6/24 any chance of getting recon, tried twice and both times they wouldn’t even recon bec to many new account. This was for the JetBlue card

Can’t hurt to call....

If they say something about too many accounts in the past 24 months you likely were denied due to 6/24 which (IME at least) won’t change with HUCA. However, you can also be denied on a credit based level for too many cards, that can be overturned.
