Barclay reconsideration line: 866-408-4064, Mon-Fri 8AM - 5PM EST.
The 24-hour number is 866-408-4064
New 24 hour number is 866-205-5973
you can finally fax documents to Barclays the number is 866-836-6959

Based on the phone reps, an application usually remains in the system for 90 days, during which you can ask for a reconsideration.
However, if 30 days have passed, it will incur another hard pull.

There have been a few reports of Barclay pulling credit again when reconsidering - even when specifically asked not to.
Make sure to explicitly tell the rep that you don't want another credit pull. The benefit of such action would be that if later you see they did pull your credit you can call up and speak to a manager and have the pulls removed (based on first-hand accounts from this thread).

If you want to guarantee that you don't get another pull, freeze your credit report.

While Barclay recon reps are usually very tough to deal with, there have been sporadic reports of them reconsidering by reallocating credit-line from other cards. Additionally, there are a few reports indicating success with the 3BM.
Personal and biz didn't combine

Barclay recon reps take notes of each phone call and subsequent reps usually regurgitate the previous rep's reply.

Barclays has a 6/24 rule similar to chase 5/24. Not hardcoded like chase though.

Last week I asked them not to pull again and they assured me they won't. Didn't check my CR since.

Did you ask them not to pull your credit again?

Do you know of they did?

I asked them to make sure they didn't pull it again, she said she was using the report that was pulled the day before, they just needed me to confirm my employment information.

approved for US airways card but denied for barclay's world master card arrivalon a 2BM.  Just closed barclay's world master arrival card in June are they tough on churning this arrival card so quickly?

the big bold blue lettering in the wiki is wrong... i got the arrival plus approved today after many HUCA's and it didn't require much convincing, and no additional pull

First account with Barclays? There are those who have said it's easier than churning.  In any case the wiki should reflect that, I agree.

A week is usually OK for Barclays.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Is it worth trying to get a retention bonus before closing it?

I just recently used a 3bm to apply for 3 barclays cards. All of them gave me the following message:

"Thank you for your recent application. We're in the process of reviewing the information you provided for your xxx application.

Please keep in mind it may take up to 10 business days to process your application. There is no need to reapply. If you provided an email address, we will send you an email upon review of your application."

Does this mean a denial? Should I call recon?

Thanks
