amazon returns

im trying to return something to amazon that i bought with prime and now when im going to return it they say they charge for return shipping. Has this always been the case?

I had the same thing. What I did was change my reason for return to 'not as pictured' or something of the sort to make it a problem on their side and then it was free. Just try to redo the form and it should be free

gotta be smart about it. Pay for the lighter items returns and have them pay for the heavier more expensive to ship items if you make frequent returns

I just returned something because the box came half open and a part was missing. Not only did they pay for the return shipping, but I also got the refund before I even sent the item back!

Got it a few months ago. Move on. I just spread out my purchases and returns between 5 accounts.

I don't. I'm just more careful after the email. I return every 4th I buy because I buy easier knowing that I can return it on any whim. Very easy for me to ship back. My workplace has a UPS pickup every day.

Some Amazon reps are clueless. One rep yesterday had no clue of the $20 off mom promo and then one other clueless rep gave me today my box of Luvs that wasn't on the promo for $5...

Gotta love Amazon. This and Amazon Payments. They're a gold mine.
