looking for dehumidifier (advice).
« on: September 03, 2012, 09:26:07 PM »
Last year during the fall one of my bedrooms got pretty damp and I borrowed a dehumidifier. This year I planned to buy one myself and have been researching for a couple weeks. Almost every dehumidifier has some kind of con. Some ppl complain about the noise, some about leakage etc. Does anyone have a great experience (pref long term) with a specific dehumidifier?

Bedroom is about 12'X'18'
pref. looking to spend around $200.

Found this: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/dehumidifiers.htm

Scroll down for a short video clip. Pretty funny start  ;D

Btw, would anyone with a subscription to consumerreports mind telling me what their top choice is? TYIA

Bump.
Looking for something cheap and efficient not interested in paying a lot just as much as needed.
I live in a semi basement around a 20×60.
TIA

Personally, I think this is worth paying a premium. Cheaper models might be less efficient and more prone to leaking. That is just my opinion though.
