NEED HELP using my BA miles on AA

I want to use my BA miles from the Chase offer for a flight from JFK to LAX. When I applied, I had checked availability and saw plenty of award flights to that and other destinations. Now when I check, I get nothing. I tried various dates and destinations to no avail..... ??? ??? ??? Please help me!!!

07/28-08/03 has availability on stop flights for 25K.
It is peak summer time though so awards can be tough.

There are nonstops in Business or First.

It's on AA.com.
Call up BA and they can give you these flights. 
Telling them this small white lie will make it easier: Another BA agent just told you that there was availability on specific flights and you want to give them the exact flight numbers that you found were available just a little earlier.
