« on: September 04, 2012, 12:21:54 PM »
Just got letter from amex i was declined for the SPG Business for this reason

"Your American Express Acquisition Risk Score is too high"

what is the meaning of this?

(I applied at the same time for MB Plat and Delta gold Personal and was approved for both)

now this was on 07/25/12, should i try my luck again?

CMIIW,anyone. but I think its the amex internal system which determines your risk factors. like your payment history, high balances, etc.
does that make sense for you ? did you have any such activity ?

if that's the case I would say give it a bit more time. when they determine your membership risk, its usually from the past six months

I did but couldn't find any conclusive info

I tried recon but all they can offer was to resubmit it to review which will cause another hard pull. is that what recon is suppose to do?

i did offer to shift credit from my other 2 cards total $9,900 CL  but they said no
