FWIW... I didn't receive the email but I logged on to aa.com/offers and registered to promo "HVC3A" (the promo code from FY) with success... I wonder if that will actually work. Any thoughts?

With AA, you can enroll for any promotion...doesnt mean you will get it if you were not targeted.

FWIW, i have had success enrolling for a promo like this (which they have done several this year) while not being targeted.

Doesnt work like that by AA. If you weren't targeted you won't get it.
